Moratorium is over, I’ve decided to continue with the project!
There are many reasons for it but the main one is that what I’ve built up to now does have value. Value is in the eye of the beholder, but my assumption is that somewhere along the way, Urbanoe will be of help to communities around the world and when this starts happening, this value will become apparent. Ultimately, I’m betting on myself to build this thing.
So how am I going to pivot? Two main things:
- Improve product market fit (PMF)
- Start marketing!
About Product Definition and Product Market Fit
If you don’t get any traction, there’s obviously something wrong. It might be that you are ahead of the curve and the market will “catch up” with you… or more likely, you simply did not build something that people care about. So I need to refine the definition of the product to better appeal to potential clients. I might need to re-think who my clients are. There’s a lot of good ideas in “How to build a billion dollar app“, I’ll certainly consider some of them.
Marketing for the system presently does not exist. It’s going to be easy to improve on this part of the equation, no doubt. Setting up a marketing plan is at the top of my agenda at the present time. I have a few ideas on this, but I’ll definitively need help.
I’m expecting a lot of changes in the coming weeks and months. Stay tuned.
